With more than 25 years of experience in professional kitchens across India, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Australia, Jomon has spent his life doing what he loves most — cooking good food for people.

His culinary journey has taken him through some incredible kitchens and experiences. He worked with Saudi Arabian Airlines Catering in Saudi Arabia and later took on senior chef roles in the UK, including Head Chef at Hilton Aberdeen Treetops, Burrendale Hotel & Country Club Spa, and Marathon Oil with BaxterStorey.

After moving to Australia, Jomon continued to build his experience through roles with BHP Olympic Dam and Meals on Wheels. Working with Meals on Wheels was especially meaningful to him, as it gave him the opportunity to prepare wholesome meals for people from all walks of life. That experience has naturally become part of Ivy’s Kitchen too, through our frozen meal range — giving customers the chance to enjoy Jomon’s cooking in the comfort of their own homes.

Jomon enjoys cooking a wide variety of cuisines, from Indian and Asian to Middle-Eastern, European and other international flavours. He loves exploring different ingredients, techniques and traditions, while also putting his own touch into every dish. Whether it’s a comforting curry, a familiar favourite or one of his chef’s specials, he believes the best food is made with care.

For Jomon, cooking has always been about more than just preparing a meal. What makes him happiest is seeing someone enjoy the food he has made — knowing that a dish from his kitchen has brought a little happiness, comfort or satisfaction to their day.
